#7 An inspirational story

1.       What is the main message of the video?

When I contemplate the inspirational video in YouTube, I saw the main character/speaker that is crippled/disabled; he doesn’t have arms and normal feet that he supposedly have. But what? When he fell down, he tried to stand again. But he couldn’t, because he doesn’t have arms and legs. But instead of giving up, he come up with the idea that it is not necessarily that he has to use his arms and legs to stand alone. He uses his head with the help of a certain object in order to stand. In relation to life, we have to think that we should never give up. Once you fall down from that misfortune or disaster in your life. Try to stand again even if you strive to do it a hundred of times and still you fall down. Try to quest any conceivable motivation or maybe the person that you love who could pull you up from being drown in your problems. It also makes us more dedicated and use of our difficulty as defiance. In that sense, we could ask ourselves” Am I going to give up or not?” and the most important, it foster us to influence also other people who adept the same way that we experience or even worst compared to us.

2.       Are you inspired by it? Why or why not?

Yes, I’m inspired by it. Because despite of being a handicapped person he shows fortitude and motivation to other people. He set himself as an encouragement to others that even his just merely an incapacitated, but he could make his aspiration attainable. How much more us, that we are more blessed and capable of doing anything that we are craving for.

3.       How can you become an inspiration for others too?

I can be an afflation for others too, by asserting to them, especially those who still have a complete family, that I’m complete!
Even my father had passed away in my early age, I keep on setting to my thoughts that I can still make it. Even I lost one of my mentor/guide in facing life, I still know that I will succeed in my ideals or ambition.

#6 An adventure story( Johara in the Amazingland )

Johara  is sitting with her sister outdoors when she spies a White Rabbit with a pocket watch. Fascinated by the sight, she follows the rabbit down the hole. She falls for a long time, and finds herself in a long hallway full of doors. There is also a key on the table, which unlocks a tiny door; through this door, she spies a beautiful garden. She longs to get there, but the door is too small. Soon, she finds a drink with a note that asks her to drink it. There is later a cake with a note that tells her to eat; Johara  uses both, but she cannot seem to get a handle on things, and is always either too large to get through the door or too small to reach the key.

While she is tiny, she slips and falls into a pool of water. She realizes that this little sea is made of tears she cried while a giant. She swims to shore with a number of animals, most notably a sensitive mouse, but manages to offend everyone by talking about her cat's ability to catch birds and mice. Left alone, she goes on through the wood and runs into the White Rabbit. He mistakes her for his maid and sends her to fetch some things from his house. While in the White Rabbit's home, she drinks another potion and becomes too huge to get out through the door. She eventually finds a little cake which, when eaten, makes her small again.
In the wood again, she comes across a Caterpillar sitting on a mushroom. He gives her some valuable advice, as well as a valuable tool: the two sides of the mushroom, which can make Johara grow larger and smaller as she wishes. The first time she uses them, she stretches her body out tremendously. While stretched out, she pokes her head into the branches of a tree and meets a Pigeon. The Pigeon is convinced that Johara is a serpent, and though Johara tries to reason with her the Pigeon tells her to be off.
Johara gets herself down to normal proportions and continues her trek through the woods. In a clearing she comes across a little house and shrinks herself down enough to get inside. It is the house of the Duchess; the Duchess and the Cook are battling fiercely, and they seem unconcerned about the safety of the baby that the Duchess is nursing. Johara takes the baby with her, but the child turns into a pig and trots off into the woods. Johara next meets the Cheshire cat (who was sitting in the Duchess's house, but said nothing). The Cheshire cat helps her to find her way through the woods, but he warns her that everyone she meets will be mad.
Johara goes to the March Hare's house, where she is treated to a Mad Tea Party. Present are the March Hare, the Hatter, and the Dormouse. Ever since Time stopped working for the Hatter, it has always been six o'clock; it is therefore always teatime. The creatures of the Mad Tea Party are some of the must argumentative in all of Wonderland. Johara leaves them and finds a tree with a door in it: when she looks through the door, she spies the door-lined hallway from the beginning of her adventures. This time, she is prepared, and she manages to get to the lovely garden that she saw earlier. She walks on through, and finds herself in the garden of the Queen of Hearts. There, three gardeners (with bodies shaped like playing cards) are painting the roses red. If the Queen finds out that they planted white roses, she'll have them beheaded. The Queen herself soon arrives, and she does order their execution; Johara helps to hide them in a large flowerpot.
The Queen invites Johara to play croquet, which is a very difficult game in Amazingland, as the balls and mallets are live animals. The game is interrupted by the appearance of the Cheshire cat, whom the King of Hearts immediately dislikes.
The Queen takes Johara to the Gryphon, who in turn takes Johara to the Mock Turtle. The Gryphon and the Mock Turtle tell Johara bizarre stories about their school under the sea.The Mock Turtles sings a melancholy song about turtle soup, and soon afterward the Gryphon drags Johara off to see the trial of the Knave of Hearts.
The Knave of Hearts has been accused of stealing the tarts of the Queen of Hearts, but the evidence against him is very bad. Johara is appalled by the ridiculous proceedings. She also begins to grow larger. She is soon called to the witness stand; by this time she has grown to giant size. She refuses to be intimidated by the bad logic of the court and the bluster of the King and Queen of Hearts. Suddenly, the cards all rise up and attack her, at which point she wakes up. Her adventures in Amazingland have all been a fantastic dream.

# 5" Alexandra Lois B. Jiminez is my hero"

A hero is an individual who can serve as an example. He or she has the ability to persevere, to overcome they hurdles that impede others' lives.
Alexandra Lois B. Jimenez known as Alex in my alma mater, IMCC(BED). We've been classmates and friends for 4 years in high school. She is a pretty girl, cute, gorgeous, humble and generous person. A very sociable and God-fearing classmate. She is s kind of a person that you can lean on whenever you have problems or if you want to express something which is personal enough to be keep as a secret.
I consider Alex as my hero in my life aside from my family, because she made something for me which I can consider as a great sacrifice to a friend.  Because once, our teacher in Math 4 asked us to make a power point presentation about the certain  equation was given to us. I asked one of my closest friend named Leo to borrow his laptop because during that time there was no internet connection yet in our place. But unfortunately, Leo did not came to the said place that supposedly our meeting place. I've been waiting for him for almost 2 hours, and during that time Alex was with me. I don't know if it was  really my baddest day ever, because even  the computer of Alex wad being reformat during that time that is why she couldn't offer the service of their computer. When she felt that I was already depressed, worried and problematic as well, she served some foods for me to lessen my burden. She's keep on comforting and telling me that " If there's a
will, there's a way." It was already 12:00 in the midnight when she called-up his boyfriend to come on their house and bring with him his laptop. I felt the guilt when I knew that the guy will be coming and to think that he will just be walking alone in the street, since there were no longer vehicles roaming around the city. When he arrived safely, he patiently waited for us until Alex and I finished my presentation that will be submitted on the next  day. I felt so overwhelmed, convinced and pleasured that I have a friend like her. She sacrificed for not sleeping from 12:00 in midnight to 2:00 in the morning just to accomplish my project. She let me slept in their house for 2 hours and she awaken me at 4 o'clock so that I can still go home, change my uniform and explain everything to my parents.
That is why, Alexandra Lois B. Jimenez is my hero. She's not my mother nor my sister but she have proven that even she don't have a responsibility to me, she still made it because she care and love me. And that is my definition to a TRUE friend.

#4 "Astounding Truth"

1.       Do you believe that the dead communicate with the living? Why or why not?

When the person dies some people says that the soul of the person will not directly be vanished. They said that their souls were still given the time to do the things that they weren’t able to do while they are still alive. Specially those victims of accidents or sudden death.
For me, I believe that the dead communicate with the living. Because I’ve already experienced that one. My father was a victim of stroke or cerebrovascular accident due to his hypertension or high blood pressure last November  1, 2010. Before he died I can really see in his face that he still have a lot of plans for us; to settle the case that they were still processing until now about their heir, plan for my niece’s birthday, my graduation day, to distribute his heir among the 3 of us before he dies, Watch his grandson and granddaughters growing up and taking their first day at school and so on. That’s why when he was attacked by stroke, he fought for his life and tried to catch a breath in the intensive care unit(ICU) at Iligan Medical Center Hospital. But unfortunately, after 24 hours he passed away. He passed away bringing those plans that he wanted to do.
I experienced something weird in the sense that he had something to tell with me. It was on November 12 and it was our card distribution and parent’s consultation for 3rd quarter examination. And I’m already used   that my father usually claims my report card at school. Midnight, as I was sleeping, my father appeared in my dream, he ask me what will be the time of card distribution, I answered him with falling tears and said” around 7:00 to 12:00 and 12:00to 4:00, but Pa? You are already dead!!Then he answered that he will be there around 10:00a.m. Then he set his watch and I hurriedly woke-up and cried. I immediately run to his coffin and cried so much. It happens not only once but many times already. And he always visit to my mother’s dream every time we have problem, especially in financial.

#3 " I stop to say Thank You to my MAMA "

1.    1.  How do you think people value family these days?
Based on what I have observed to the people towards on their family they tend to sacrifice like working abroad in order to meet the needs of their family. In which they thought that could satisfy and let their family happy. Financially, yes! We can say that there is significance on it. That they already have the capability to improve not only their lives but also the living of their family. To buy not only the needs but also the wants. But try to think carefully about the situation , the money itself cannot sustain all the aspects that the person is seeking like physical aspect. There is a big difference when the person you love or the member of your family is with you. You can talk and see them in person and make more unforgettable memories with your family. And that is the biggest thing that the money cannot be able to afford. Happiness and completeness of the family.

2. How would you show you value your parents 10 years  from now?

As I see the philosophy of my life , I will show the value of my mother(since my father had already passed away) by letting her feel that as her youngest daughter, I'm ready to sacrifice and offer my deepest service for her.I will motivate myself to sustain the appropriate thing that she will be needing in the future when she reach that stage. Not the money, but the love and care which her body and mind needs more suplication.

3. In what way can you say “ thank you “ to your parents now?

I can say thank you to may mother by making good deeds at home, making good in class,  improved my undesirable attitude towards my siblings and let her feel that I'm a good daughter to her. I do not show my love to my mother verbally as what others usually do. They keep on saying “ mom, dad I love you “ . but the fact is , they are still doing the things that could maximize the burden that they’re parents are bringing. For me, making simple things that could put a smile on her lips is more than saying thousands of “ thank you “ to her. In order to lessen her burdens and she would realize that I am a good and responsible daughter to her.

#2 My First Journal

A writer is a person who produces literary content, including but not limited to stories, poetry, music and other literary art, advertising, procedures, and books. And a reader is the person who verbalized the stories and outlines.
As I observed to myself every time I read reading materials such as books, magazine4s and even newspapers, I can evaluate myself as a mediocre reader. Mediocre in a sense that I have the potential to read outlines and stories with the proper way of reading, I convey appropriate facial and emotional expressions , and I have the catching voice; loud and clear, to call the  attention of the listener.
But despite of those apprize capabilities of mine, there is something which makes my reading process troublesome. And that is my critical thinking. Yes, I’m sounds good when the person hears me reading but if I were to ask about the thought of the given selection I unfortunately cannot answer it, because when I read I do not understand what am I reading and I just focused on the proper diction and pronunciation of each words.
As a consequence, if I will be given tasks to answer and write something as follow-up questions from the selection that I read, I have to read it all over again from the start up to the end. Since I do not understand what I am reading that is why I cannot put it into writing.
From the above mentioned, I can’t consider myself as a good writer if I’m not a good reader. Yes, I can write ‘because I know how to read but not totally great as compare to others.

#1 My Mission in life

All things happens  for a reason. If we will to relate that in reality as humans, we are born because of the several reasons which at first we factually doesn’t know but discovered only later. We just suddenly realized that we were sent her to perform a mission not only for one’s benefit but for the good of others. A mission is important because it gives meaning and direction to one’s life.
My mission in life is to attain my parents will for me or to be someone that they desire for me. They want me to be successful and triumphant in life because that is the enormous goal that they pursued before in their early age but unfortunately they failed. That is why they just leave to me the opportunity to accomplish such mission.
Sometimes, questions bothered on my mind on how can I intend to pursue this mission? And keep answering to myself that I must set my mind and heart to take inspirations to the unforeseen incidents occurred in my early age.  I could hardly imagine that the person who gives me the strength and set himself as my minuscule inspiration in reaching upon my dreams was just suddenly lost in one blink of my eyes.
It was a fine and peaceful Sunday when my father was suddenly attacked by his high blood pressure. When he arrived at the hospital (Intensive Care Unit) my mother was horrify upon hearing from the doctors mouth that my father was comatose. We never anticipated even in a single nightmare that he will be right away comatose upon his first attack by his high blood pressure. But the worst was when he just shortly lasts for only 24 hours and……he died.

That scenario of my life leads me to stop pursuing my mission anymore. Why? Its been a great  wound for me during our commencement exercises that he wasn’t there. I've been crying and begging in his alive mind but dead body before our graduation day. I want him to dawn a medal on stage together with my mama. For without him I would not be motivated as I performed competitively during my high school level.I cried in front of my fellow graduates, teachers, staff and parents that day for my mother did not attend as well. The two important persons of my life were both physically absent during my momentous day of my life but I know they were so proud of me. That portion of my life keeps me reminded that I must work harder and perform better. Because even though  he is no longer with me, I know that his presence is  always there wherever I am to guide me and lighten the path that I must proceed.
In order to obtain harmonious journey in my mission I must also posses different positive attitudes that could lessen the burden  that I'm bringing. First, I must be an open-minded person in order for me to accept new and variety of ideas on how can I easily achieve my goal and aside from that I can easily communicate with my peers and gain a lot of friends as my companions. Self-determination, positive aspect in life and you must also know how to set your goal.
Those  are some of the things that we should always remember in seeking one's mission . But the most important above all I mentioned is to never neglect to ask the guidance of our omnipotent GOD and always give thanks to the wisdom and blessings that he had showered upon us.
